I was born in France and landed in Austria by chance in 2010. I have been working with Viennese artists since 2012. I started off with a bit of photography, and quickly moved on to filming. I film out of love for music, for the artists, for live performance. The way I see it, a concert video should enhance and support your music without getting in the way. It's your time to shine, you're on stage! A trailer should give the viewer a little taste of both your work and your personality, make them curious but by no means reveal everything (like Hollywood trailers do nowadays, if you've noticed). A crowdfunding video should encapsulate the originality and quality of your project, as well as your own enthusiasm and dedication to your art.
It's all about capturing the essence of your music or art, about telling your story. The videos are a premise or a continuation of the connection you establish on stage with your audience.
In the past 5 years, I have filmed in all the major venues in Vienna, such as the Wiener Musikverein, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the ORF Radiokulturhaus, as well as in smaller venues like the Theater am Spittelberg or the Kulturzentrum 7Stern. I have also filmed in other Austrian cities, in France and in Australia. I have filmed many recording sessions in different studios. Each venue, each studio comes with its own set of challenges and limitations, but I am used to cooperating with the sound and light technicians in order to achieve the best possible video.
I also enjoy editing existing footage - it's like a puzzle, my job being to find the perfect way to arrange the pieces.
